We were joined by our travelling friend, Tramane, and we decided to take the beer tasting VERY seriously. I even had a beer-drinker's beard and Tramane wore his favourite beer-tasting shirt.
So, each of the four beers were tasted and we recorded our verdicts through the international language of mime - see our pictures below to see our facial judgements on all of the ales.
In short, the winner was 'Mulata' - an amber ale with a delicate fruity aroma.
The other ales were:
- Negra: A deep stout. Had a whiff of caramel, coffee or Coca Cola, we thought. It made my right ear go VERY hot, which was an interesting side-effect.
- Blanca: A white beer. Stacey liked this one. Like a good lager.
- Mestiza: An American pale ale. We didn't think much of this one. A bit to fizzy and with an over-powering citrus kick.
